Art Status

My art status is not as simple as "open" or "closed" anymore, so please read each description below to understand how I view these individual services!

COMMISSIONS

After over 12 years of taking commissions in all different mediums, I have finally closed ALL commissions PERMANENTLY. I do not accept commissions anymore, and there are no exceptions. I cannot feel obligated to do things, and it's clear to me now that this was the biggest contributor to my depression for all those years. I'm now free from depression because I understand this, and other things, about myself. If you are seeking custom art or a freelance artist for any jobs, I am not your girl. Thank you for your interest though!

ART TRADES

I will accept art trades under very certain circumstances. For one, I have to ask you first AND I have to finish my half before you start your half. This is because, same as my experience with commissions, I cannot feel obligated to make art for any reason. I will unconsciously and naturally rebel against doing it if I feel like I have to, and so to take the pressure off, I have to choose who I work with first, and if I never complete my half, then you don't have to do your half (unless you feel like it and are okay with it being a free request instead, of course). If I ask you for an art trade, I will send you this text or let you know in some way.

REQUESTS

I view requests, not as obligations, but rather as SUGGESTIONS. if You want to leave me a "suggestion" somewhere, whether it is your OC, my OC, or some kind of fan art, you are free to do so! But keep in mind that I will not do it, and I will definitely not TELL you that I'm going to do it, if I don't 100% feel like it in the moment. I live spontaneously and freedom is my highest value, so if you leave me a request/suggestion, I may or may not fulfill it. When I DO answer a request, it's like a fun a surprise! Just don't be attached to a "yes" or "no" answer, and it will be fun for everyone! And remember, if you don't at least ASK for what you want, the answer will ALWAYS automatically be "no" anyway. ;3

GIFTS

If you're wondering about giving ME a gift, you really don't have to ask, go ahead and have fun! : D If you're wondering about how I GIVE gifts, just like everything else, it's completely spontaneous and unexpected! I may drop a gift your way if I pass by your page and feel like drawing you something! You never know!! Always be open to fun surprises, and the Universe will surprise you in fun ways! (^^)v

CONTESTS/KIRIBANS

For the moment, I am not going to be hosting any contests because I will automatically rebel against doing the prize art. If I do host a contest in the future, the prizes would maybe be like money, or art and other things DONATED by other users. Another way I would handle contest prizes is giving out coaching products and services to the winners, like my "Artist Awakening" guide, or the "Journal Your Way Home" prompts. Maybe even some 1:1 coaching if it is a big contest! ^^ The way that I decide to JOIN contests is the same way that I decide to give gifts. c: If I pass by your page and you're hosting a contest, if I like the subject, prizes, or just feel like doing it, I may join in! If you ASK me to join a contest and expect a "yes" from me, I probably won't join, but you are free to let me know you're hosting one and I'll check it out and see how I feel! Again, you just never know!! D:

COLLABORATIONS

I will happily do a collaboration with someone under these two guidelines. Just like art trades, I have to ask first, AND I will only do the sketches at this time! Coloring frustrates me and I'm still trying to find a process that allows it to be easier and more fun for me, plus I enjoy seeing my sketches colored with other people's styles a lot! Maybe one day I will feel like coloring someone else's sketch, but for now, it's unlikely!

As you can see, I cannot be expected or obligated to make art or anything else. >_< It took me a very long time to learn and accept that this is how I operate and am able to live my best life, so please respect this about me because I respect you all as you are! I choose to allow my time here to be fun and enjoyable again, just like when I first joined in 2007, and I am at my best when I am free to create things spontaneously! ^u^
